Carol May Renninger

Carol (Riedel) Renninger, 78, of Leesport, passed away on January 16, 2022, at Mifflin Center. Her husband, Paul R. Renninger, passed away December 14, 2021. They shared 56 wonderful years together.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Mary (Boltz) Riedel. Carol graduated from Reading High School. She was employed by Cinderella and Lyons Knitting Mills for many years until her retirement.

Carol enjoyed reading, watching the Phillies and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She was a member of Trinity UCC Leesport.

She is survived by her children: Julie, wife of Michael Snyder, Duane Renninger and Connie Renninger; grandchildren: Carly Schaffer, Morgan Snyder, and Paul Snyder; and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by four siblings: Patricia Riedel, Betty Guldin, Sandra Reed and Edward Riedel.

In addition to her husband, Carol was predeceased by her siblings: Walter "Butch" Riedel, Jackie Hafer, Barbara Riedel, Lester Riedel, Ralph Riedel Jr., Robert Riedel, Charlie Riedel and Richard Riedel.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022, at 1:30 pm at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 5153 Kutztown Road, Temple, with burial to follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens. The visitation will be held from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flower contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 225 N.
