Carol A. (Stanislawczyk) Menet-Houlihan, 62, died of natural causes August 27th in her Wyomissing residence.

She was the wife of Robert Houlihan. She was predeceased by her first husband, Jerome M. Menet, who died October 4, 1988.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of Stephanie (Kozak) Kaufman of West Lawn.

She was predeceased by her father, Stephen Stanislawczyk and her step-father, Robert Kaufman.

Menet-Houlihan was a graduate of Central Catholic High School.

She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

Menet-Houlihan was employed for a total of over 20 years at Quality Control Medical Laboratories, Mount Penn and later at St. Joseph's Hospital, Reading before retiring in 2004.

She is also survived by a daughter, Michele D. (Menet) Timochenko of Spring Township and three sons; Steven R. Menet of Exeter Township, Brian A. Menet of Lower Alsace Township and Scott D. Menet of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.

Other survivors include a stepson, Robert D. Houlihan of Austin, Texas and two step-daughters, Carol L. Houlihan of Harrisburg and Helene A. (Houlihan) Amble of Austin, Texas.

She is also survived by a brother, Dennis Stanislaw of Spring Township, nine grandchildren and one step grandson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 am in St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield. Viewing will be Tuesday evening 6:30 - 8:00 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. No public viewing Wednesday. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Avenue, Reading, Pa 19605.
