Carol A. Mcnabb

Carol A. McNabb, 58, of Reading, died March 21, 2013, in Reading Hospital, after a long battle with ovarian cancer.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of Nancy (Haberman) McNabb, Wyomissing and the late Donald McNabb.

She was a 1972 graduate of Wilson High School and attended Fashion Institute of Art, Pittsburgh.

Prior to her illness, she was employed by Hawthorne Home, Reading.

Carol was artistic, had a way with animals, enjoyed reading and gardening; and loved the beach. She was an excellent cook and baker.

She is survived by her loving companion, Richard Foster, with whom she resided; and her daughter, Gretchen Brower Smith, wife of Jason Smith, Glenmoore. There are three siblings, Jane, wife of Eric Page, Wilmington, DE; James McNabb, Altoona and Thomas, husband of Kelly McNabb, Blandon. One niece, three nephews, one aunt, several cousins, and her step-mother, Dottie McNabb, Lakeland, FL also survive her.

The family wishes to thank the nurses, BVN/Hospice professionals, and all those who gave meals and transportation while Carol underwent her chemotherapy treatments.

A memorial service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Friends may call Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
