Carol A. Matte

Carol A. (Orrs) Matte, 66, of Lower Alsace Twp. passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in her residence.

Born in Reading, she was the wife of John Matte of Lower Alsace Twp, and the daughter of the late Betty (Stacherski) Orrs.

Carol was employed as a hairdresser and cosmetologist for 20 years by Beverly Manor, and worked five years for the Villa at Morlatten.

She was a member of the Reading High School graduating class of 1963.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter and her husband, Colleen and Mark Stoudt of Temple; two sons: Ovide Matte and his wife Jennifer of New York City and Andre' Matte of Lower Alsace Twp; one brother, Charles Orrs, Jr. of TN; and one granddaughter, Sophie Matte.

Donations in Carol's memory, in lieu of flowers, can be made out to her daughter, Colleen Stoudt, and mailed to 4529 10th Ave., Temple, PA 19560.

Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Blankenbiller Funeral Home, 423 Main St., Oley is in charge of arrangements.
