Carol Ann Dewald

Carol Ann (Anders) DeWald, 84, passed away in her daughter's residence surrounded by family, Saturday, September 25th, 2021. She was the wife of the late Thomas R. Snyder, John A. Miller and Jack DeWald.

Born in Reading on March 26, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Sally (Underkoffler) Anders. She attended Mt. Penn High School.

Carol was employed with the former Pomery's Department Store, Boscov's Department store and lastly, St. Joseph Hospital in the dining/ nutrition department. She enjoyed going to Williams Restaurant and animals, especially cats. She had a great love of Jesus Christ.

Carol is survived by her son, Richard T. Snyder of Kutztown and his five children; her daughter, Cheryl (Snyder) Schwartz, wife of the late Brian Schwartz of Exeter Twp. and their children, Matthew Schwartz and Tracy (Schwartz) Mell and her husband Kyle and her five great grandchildren, Shelby, Jacob, Carrera, Elise and Chase.

In addition to her parents, her husbands and her son-in-law, Carol is predeceased by a grandson, Michael Schwartz and a brother, Alan Anders.

A funeral service will be at 1:30pm on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021 in Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. A viewing will be in the funeral home prior from 12:30pm to 1:30pm. Burial will follow the service in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Twp.

Memorial contributions may be made to an animal rescue facility of the donor's choice.
