Carol-Ann Elizabeth Green

On Sunday, March 17, 2024, Carol-Ann Elizabeth (Kusnierz) Green, 78, of West Lawn, PA, passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side. She was proud to be a native Philadelphian, and a graduate of the Lincoln High School Class of 1963. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Philip, who we know she was anxiously awaiting to see again.

If you knew Carol, you know she was a force to be reckoned with. She was intelligent, fiercely (some might say stubbornly) independent, and always carried her sarcastic sense of humor. Carol was a gifted athlete. She was a scratch golfer who, much to the chagrin of her male counterparts, won several club and Philadelphia championships. She and Phil were also active members of the Blue Mountain Eagle Climbing Club, and loved hiking through national parks. Their last vacation together was a month-long trek out west to Yellowstone. She also loved her trivia team (and maybe someday they'll actually win).

Carol worked as a unit clerk at the Reading Hospital for 33 years, though we think her favorite job was the 13 years she spent driving a school bus for Wilson School District. She had many stories to tell about the kids, and we assume they have some of their own to tell about her.

She is survived by her two children Brian Green (husband of Christie), and Eric Green (husband of Antonio Freitas); and her two grandchildren Timmy and Clark Green. Carol (and Phil's) spirit lives on in each of us, and we're eternally grateful for the lives they provided for us.
