Carmen G. Rivera

Carmen Gladys (Rodriguez) Rivera, 72, died in her Reading residence February 3, 2013.

She was the wife of Pedro A. Rivera who died February 19, 1991.

Born September 18, 1940 in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Angel and Felicita (Robles) Rodriguez.

Carmen was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

She was very active in her community as a volunteer with Kennedy House.

Surviving are her four children: Carmen A. (Rivera), wife of Tony Cruz of Hamburg; Marcos L., husband of Elizabeth C. Rivera of Muhlenberg Township; Mary L. Rivera-Martin, wife of Derrick (Ricky) E. Martin of Centre Township and Sally A. (Rivera), wife of Eric G. Jackson, Sr. of Reading.

Other survivors include her three siblings: Joe Rodriguez of Reading Willie Rodriguez of Reading and Victor Rodriguez of Leesport.

There are also ten grandchildren surviving: Brandon, Kelsey, Marcos Jr., Alana, Amanda, Santana, Dante, Jesse, Eric Jr. and Brecklynd and five great grandchildren, Jadiel, Mya, Isaiah, Noah and Tristen.

Carmen was predeceased by a grandson, Anton Alexander Rivera on January 1, 1990.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
