Carmela Ann Guidara

Carmela Ann "Carm" Guidara, 74, of Wyomissing, died January 19, 2012 in St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Anna Mae (VanLuvender) Guidara.

She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and St. Joseph's Nursing School.

Carmela Ann was a R.N. for over 40 years, retiring in 1998 as a Nursing Supervisor in the O.R. of St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center.

She enjoyed traveling overseas, working on crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She was also a member of several nursing associations.

Carmela Ann was a member of Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Reading.

She is survived by her three siblings: Catherine G., wife of Paul R. Coldren, Reading; Frank M., widower of Pearl Guidara, Leominster, MA; Mary Lou, widow of Paul R. Faller, Temple and her seven nephews: Robert J., husband of Taymy Guidara, Tampa, FL; Michael D., husband of Janice Guidara, Tampa, FL; Terence M., husband of Valerie Coldren, Mechanicsburg; Steven P. Coldren, New Cumberland; Jeffrey R. Coldren, New York City, NY; Paul R. Faller, Sinking Spring and Peter G. Faller, Temple. Also surviving are 13 great-nieces and nephews and 5 great-great nieces and nephews.

Carmela Ann thought the world of all her nephews great-nephews and nieces and great-great nephews and nieces and their families and they all loved their "Aunt Mel". She will be dearly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary R.C. Church, 237 Franklin St. Reading, PA 19602. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum.
