Carlyin L. Beck

Carylin L. Beck, 90, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at the Laurel Center in Hamburg. She was the loving wife of John E. Beck, with whom she shared 42 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Esther (Witwer) McKnight. Carrie was a machine operator for Dutch Knitting and later Wright's Knitwear in Hamburg. She retired in 1997. She was a member of St. John's Church in Auburn. She will be remembered for her kind and gentle nature and her loving spirit.

Carylin is survived by her husband, John; son, Clayton Miller; stepsons: John E. Beck III (Jeanne) of Carolina Shores, NC, Ned A. Beck (Patty) of Auburn, and Hal D. Beck (Jackie) of Green Cove Springs, FL; stepdaughter, Lisa Eldridge (David) of Deland, FL; brother, Charles McKnight of Reading; and nephews, William L. McKnight of Minnesota and Charles J. McKnight of Harrisburg.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Bonnie L. Miller; brothers: Morris McKnight, Benjamin McKnight, and William Witwer; and sisters: Mary Rodolff, Elizabeth Mertz, and Betty McKnight.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in Kuhn Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc, 40 South 4th St, Hamburg, PA 19526. The family will receive friends and relatives from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
