Carl A. Van Pelt, 96, of Reading, died December 7, 2013 in Berkshire Center, Exeter Township.
He was the husband of Grace M. (Moyer) Van Pelt who died March 6, 2001.
Born March 15, 1917 in Gibraltar, he was a son of the late Howard A. and Rose M. (Kurtz) Van Pelt.
Carl was employed as an annealing operator with Birdsboro Steel Foundry and Machine Company.
He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Birdsboro, PA.
Carl served in the U.S. Army, serving as a cook.
Carl was also predeceased by his brothers: Earl, Banks, Lester, Clement, Paul and Webster and a sister, Edna.
He is survived by Hazel Cunningham, Shillington,Sister-in law, Nephews Jack Cunningham, Quakertown and James Cunningham, Reading Great Nephew, Jason Cunningham, Carlise, PA and Great Niece, Molly Cunningham, Ft Lauderdale, FL.
