Carl H. Trayer

Carl H. Trayer, 88, formerly of Christopher Court, Wyomissing, died Jan. 31 at 7:09 a.m. in Southeastern Veterans Center, Spring City, Chester County, where he had been a resident since June 2001.

He was the husband of Mildred (Hinsley) Trayer.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Daniel and Minnie (Kern) Trayer.

Trayer was employed for 19 years as a knitter for Narrow Fabric Co., West Reading. He later worked for 10 years as a security guard at Carpenter Technology Corp., Reading, retiring in 1979.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Trayer is also survived by two sons, Terrance D., Coudersport, Potter County, and Brian A., Sinking Spring.

There are also seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Entombment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery Mausoleum, Spring Township.
