Carl Rampolla, 90, of Wyomissing, passed away August, 31, 2018, at Reading Hospital.
He was the loving husband of Elizabeth G. (Greiner) Rampolla. They were married 57 years.
Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Peter and Catherine (Lombardo) Rampolla.
He was a 1947 graduate of West Reading High School where he excelled in sports and enjoyed chorus.
Carl was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during WWII.
He was employed by Prudential Insurance Company as a registered agent.
Carl was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.
He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Charles P. Rampolla, partner of Joy Scheirer, Reading; and Robert J. (Sheila) Rampolla, Muhlenberg Township; Three grandchildren, Leah Rampolla, West Reading, Elisha (Michael) Pavlick, Philadelphia, and Lauren E. Rampolla (Jenni Howley), Muhlenberg Township; one great-grandson, William C. Pavlick; one expected great-grandson; and his beloved cat, Katie. One sister, Joyce (Dennis) Faggart, Willow Street; and many nieces and nephews also survive him.
He was predeceased by his son, Carl Peter Rampolla and his brother, Robert G. Rampolla.
The family would like to thank the Reading Hospital staff for the kindness and outstanding service they provided to Carl and the family.
Prayer Services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Gethsemane Cemetery Chapel of Resurrection with burial to follow at the cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 12 to 1 p.m. at Edward J.
