Carl D. Faust

Carl D. Faust, Sr., 69 of Orwigsburg died December 9th at 8:05 PM in the Hershey Medical Center, Derry Township. Carl was born in West Brunswick Township and was the son of the late Harvey and Helen (Long) Faust and was one of thirteen children. He was the husband of Nancy L. (Kliebenstein) Faust to whom he was married to for 41 years. Carl was a 1960 graduate of Blue Mountain High School. He was an army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict serving in the military police from 1964 to 1966. He was employed for 40 years by Om Nova Plastics as a crew leader and retired in 2006. He was a member of Red Church, Orwigsburg, the Deer Lake Fire Company # 1, West Brunswick Township and the Union Fire Company # 1 of Hamburg. Carl played softball for many years and was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially enjoyed his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Carl is survived by a daughter Michelle wife of Stephen Gibson of Lake Wynonah, a son Carl (Butch) D. Faust, Jr. of Schuylkill Haven, two grandchildren, Joshua Paul and Lindsay Marie Gibson. He is also survived by four brothers, Bill husband of Judy Faust, Charlie husband of Kay Faust, Harold husband of Chickie Faust and Arlan husband of Rosie Faust and three sisters, Molly Emerich, Grace Freed and Dorothy wife of Harry Moore. Carl was predeceased by five brothers, Guy, Floyd, Harvey, Johnny and Lester. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 14th at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th, Hamburg. A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Red Church Cemetery, West Brunswick Township.
