Carl R. Dietrich

Carl R. Dietrich, 81, passed away at Highlands Regional Medical Center, Sebring, FL, on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.

Born on October 27, 1939, Carl was the son of the late Homer and Stella (Epting) Dietrich in Leesport, PA.

Carl is survived by his wife of 60 years, Eleanor M. (Zettlemoyer) Dietrich of Shoemakersville, PA. Also surviving is their daughter, Deborah D. (Dietrich) Hoshauer, wife of Terry W. Hoshauer of Hamburg, PA and two grandchildren: Travis W. Hoshauer and Jennifer D. Hoshauer. Carl is also survived by a sister, Doris (Dietrich) Mertz and brother, LeRoy Dietrich.

Carl graduated from Perry HS in 1957.

Over the years, Carl has held various different careers spanning from farming to being the owner of Carl R. Dietrich Trucking, which was acquired by his daughter in 2012. Carl was very proud of his daughter, son-in-law, and his grandchildren's accomplishments. In 2000, Carl and his wife moved to their farm in Perry Township where he continued his love of farming.

Carl was proud of his farm and the crops that he grew. He also enjoyed the company of their cat, Minnie.
