Candis G. Boyer

Candis G. Boyer, 86, a resident at the Highlands at Wyomissing, died Oct. 17 at 9:46 a.m. in her residence.

Her husband, Leonard L. Boyer Jr., died Jan. 13, 2004.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Oliver H. and Candis (Fessler) Ginn.

Boyer, along with her husband, co-founded the Canlen Co., Wyomissing, operating the business until their retirement in 1970.

She was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.

Boyer was a 1937 graduate of Wyomissing High School and a 1941 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Education.

She was a life member of the Junior League of Reading.

Boyer served on the Wyomissing Board of Recreation.

She is survived by a daughter, Candis V. (Boyer) Coxe, Raleigh, N.C.

Other survivors include a brother, Richard C. Ginn, Wyomissing.

There is also one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Carolyn Ann Boyer, in March 2002.

Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Highlands at Wyomissing. Contributions may be made to the Wyomissing Public Library 9 Reading Blvd. Wyomissing, PA 19610. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
