Cameron E. Watts

Cameron E. "Dutch" Watts, 85, formerly of Reading, died Aug. 11 at 7:35 a.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient two weeks.

He was taken to the hospital from St. Joseph Living Center, Hyde Park, where he had resided since July 27.

His wife, Marie A. (Arentz) Watts, died Dec. 11, 1996.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Carl B. and Violet I. (Miller) Watts.

Watts was employed for many years as a milk route salesman by Clover Farms Dairy, Muhlenberg Park, retiring in 1982.

He was a 1938 graduate of Reading High School.

A Marine Corps veteran of World War II, Watts received a Purple Heart.

He was a life member of the Reading-Berks Basketball Old-Timers; Goodwill Fire Company, Hyde Park; and the Adamstown Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Surviving are two sons, Thomas C., Exeter Township, and James M., Spring Township.

Other survivors include four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Friends may call on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Contributions may be made to the Berks Visiting Nurses at 925 Centre Ave., Reading, PA 19601. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.
