Calvin R. Hinnershitz

Calvin R. Hinnershitz, 88, formerly of Laureldale, died Oct. 15 at 1:43 p.m. in Berks Heim, where he had been a resident since Nov. 14, 1996.

His wife, Gertrude E. (Ludwikowski) Hinnershitz, died Oct. 21, 1992.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Calvin S. and Emma L. (Fryer) Hinnershitz.

Hinnershitz had been employed for 30 years as a cabinet maker by Quaker Maid Kitchens, Ontelaunee Township, retiring in 1972.

He is survived by a stepdaughter, Veronica E. (Stabolepszy) Caltagirone, Laureldale; and three stepsons: Michael Stevens, Rolla, Mo.; Gregory Stabolepszy, Buena Vista, Col.; George Berkezchuk, Queen Creek, Ariz.

There are also 15 stepgrandchildren, 31 stepgreat-grandchildren and three stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

Private services and burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale, is in charge of arrangements.
