C. Frederick Eben

C. Frederick Eben, 77, died October 25th at 11:44 am in his Laureldale Borough residence.

He was the husband of Florence(Pfautz) Eben.

Born in Muhlenberg Township, he was a son of the late Christian F. Eben Jr. and Belle (Quinter) Eben.

He was a 1946 graduate of Beaver High School (Beaver County) and a 1953 graduate of Lehigh University with a B.S. in Mining Engineering.

Eben was a Navy Veteran.

He was employed for a total 30 years as an engineer for Bethlehem Steel, including 16 years as Chief Engineer at Grace Mines, Morgantown, retiring July 1983.

Other survivors include three sons, Michael D. of Mount Penn, Robert F. of Hatboro, Montgomery County and William C. of Kutztown.

He is also survived by a brother, Carl D. Eben of Orinda, California.

There are also six grandchildren.

Services will be private. In lieu of plants, flowers, etc., the family asks that donations be sent to your favorite charity. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
