C. Betty Brown

C. Betty (Stitzel) Brown, 96, passed away May 30, 2011 in her daughter, Myrna D. Brown's Laureldale residence.

Born July 23, 1914 in Kutztown, she was a daughter of the late Charles Stitzel and Freda Alma (Alandt) Kirby.

Betty was the oldest surviving member of Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, Kutztown.

She was a wonderful mother who lived for her children.

Also surviving are two other children: Shirley L. Reidel of Laureldale and Frederick R. Brown of Hyattsville, MD.

Betty was predeceased by a half-brother, Lee Stitzel.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. There will be no viewing. Burial will be in Zion Moselem Cemetery, Kutztown.
