Byron B. Poticher, 79 of West Lawn, died August 16, 2010 in Reading Hospital.
He was the husband of Elaine G. (Yerger) Poticher, whom married on June 27, 1954.
Born in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Byron and Theodosia (Burr) Poticher.
He was a 1948 graduate of Sinking Spring High School and attended Penn State University. He earned his Associate's Degree in engineering in 1952 from Temple University.
Byron was a veteran in the U.S Naval reserves.
He owned his own TV and repair business before and during his employment with Chiarelli Bros, Reading. Byron later worked for WHUM, Reading, in production and finally for AT&T, formerly Western Electric for 30 years as an Engineering Associate, retiring in February of 1986.
Byron was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sinking Spring.
He enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling, camping and woodworking.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Gary B., husband of Heidi, Dryville, Gregory L., husband of Daneen, Mohnton and Kim L., wife of Luke Shultz, Bernville.
He is also survived by his sister, Louise Hill, Berks Heim and seven grandchildren: Benjamin, Katie, Ryan, Jacob, Kristen, Taylor and Madison.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery.
