Bruce Masano

Bruce Masano, co-founder and partner of a Berks County car dealership, died Sept. 18 at 7 a.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient since Sept. 5.

Masano, 81, of Cleveland Avenue, Wyomissing, was the husband of Barbara A. (Burk) Masano.

Masano and his brother, Thomas, Reading, founded the Tom Masano Auto Group Inc., Reading, in 1952. Masano was still involved in the business, which has locations in Reading and Muhlenberg Township.

Born in Palo Alto, Schuylkill County, he was a son of the late Frank and Carmella (Sgro) Masano.

Masano was an Army veteran of World War II.

He is also survived by a son, Bruce R., Wyomissing.

Other survivors include a sister, Edith (Masano) Wentzel, Wyomissing; and two grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Denise C. (Masano) Swartz, in 1981.

Services will be private in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township.
