Bruce H. Adams

Bruce Harold Adams, 83, of Richmond VA, died August 25, 2011 in St. Mary's Hospital, Richmond, VA.

Born January 17, 1929 in Reading, he was the son of the late Harold and Florence Anna (Hackler) Adams.

He was the husband of Rita Mary (Bricker) Adams, whom he married November 22, 1949.

Bruce was a 1947 graduate of Reading High School and continued his education in the military to become a civil engineer.

He was employed as a civil engineer with Western Electric for 28 years.

Bruce was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Richmond, VA.

Also surviving, are a son, Michael S. Adams of Richmond, VA and an aunt, Arlene Boyer.

He was predeceased by a son, Bruce Scott Adams in 1961.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30 at Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Hyde Park. A viewing will be held from 10:00 until the time of mass in the church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
