Bruce Carl Goodman

Bruce C. Goodman, 89, of Reading, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Berks Heim. He was the cherished husband of Judith A. (Scheider) for 41 wonderful years.

Born in Reading to the late George W. and Thelma (Tobias) Goodman, Bruce was a proud graduate of Reading High School. He spent many years working with Brown Trailers and Reading Tube, and after his retirement enjoyed a part-time position at Pagoda Golf.

Bruce was a man of many talents, with a particular love for golfing. He also enjoyed fishing, road trips, cooking and especially baking. His family and friends will fondly remember his delicious pies and cookies, which always brought joy to those around him.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Judith, and children: Dennis T. Goodman (husband of Karen) of Reading; Debra Goodman (wife of Ted Niemczyk) of Mohnton; Gregory Stoudt (husband of Desiree) of West Lawn; and Sherry Hushen (fiancé of Noah Frazier) of Sinking Spring. He will be missed by his grandchildren: Beth Marion, Peter Goodman, Laura Goodman, Trevor Niemczyk (husband of Alecia), Skye Niemczyk, Greg Stoudt Jr., Elijah Stoudt, Kaiden Stoudt, Joshua Hushen, and Gabriel Hushen as well as six great-grandchildren. Bruce is also survived by his sister, Nancy Stine (wife of Forrest), and his brother, Tom Goodman (husband of Carol), both of Mohnton.

Bruce was preceded in death by his beloved sons, Bryan, Scott, and Gregg, and his brothers, Larry and Ronald.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, February 23, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611.
