Brodey J. Copenhaver

Brodey J. Copenhaver, 41, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 in Laureldale. He was the husband of Michelle L. (Roberts) Copenhaver, with whom he shared 7 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of Randy R. Copenhaver, husband of Bonnie, and Heidi J. Hetrick, wife of Todd.

Brodey was a 2000 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School. After graduation, he attended ABC Electrical and was employed by BJ Baldwin Electric as a network foreman.

Brodey was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and a proud member of the Dying Breed MC. He will always be known for his big heart. Brodey often shared impractical jokes and dad jokes with everyone around him. No one was immune to his sense of humor. He also enjoyed grilling and baking and had a passion for all music.

In addition to his parents and wife, Brodey is survived by his daughter, Taydem, of Reading; three siblings: Brandi J. LaFountain, wife of Jeremy, of Schuylkill Haven; Samantha J. Fletcher, wife of Eric, of Denver, PA; and Emily B. Copenhaver, of Exeter; and his grandfather, Marvin Luckenbill. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Steven J. Roberts; six nieces and nephews: Luna, Braeden, Grant, Keenan, Eli, and Nolan; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Brodey was predeceased by his grandparents: Stanley A., husband of Joanne Fasig, Jack, husband of Joan Bretz, and Joyce Luckenbill.

He will be missed by his family, friends, and the entire motorcycle community.

A visitation will be held Monday, July 24, 2023, from 6-8pm in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading.
