Brian J. Delewski, 65, of Sinking Spring, died August 1 in Reading Hospital where he had been a patient since June 22.

He was the husband of Penny A. (DeAtley) Delewski.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Edmund and Mary (Snyder) Delewski.

He worked as a rigging foreman for Morris Kreitz and Son for 35 years retiring in 1999. He was a member of Teamsters Local 429. Following his retirement he was employed part-time by D.L. Megroski, Bernville.

Brian was a graduate of Mt. Penn High School in 1958.

He was veteran of the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Mechanic.

Brian was a Trustee of the Liberty Fire Company, Sinking Spring. He was also a member of the V.F.W. Post #6150, Sinking Spring and a life time member of the Lower Alsace Beneficial Association.

Other survivors include one son Eric S. Delewski, Reading and 3 step-sons, Donald J. Connor, Spring Twp., Dennis R. Connor, Robesonia and Richard L. Darling, Morris, Illinois. There is also one sister, Lauren A. (Delewski) Rhoads, Douglassville and 10 grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Lung Association 2121 City Line Road Bethlehem, PA 18017 or to Surgical Intensive Care Unit c/o Reading Hospital and Medical Center P.O. Box 16052 Reading, PA 19612.
