Brian T. Appleton

Brian T. Appleton, Sr., 49, of Mohnton, died July 31 in Atlantic General Hospital, Berlin, MD.

His wife and sons could not have wished for a better husband and father.

Brian was the husband of Kathleen M. (Reedy) Appleton.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Melvin R. and Kathleen (Brown) Appleton.

He was a graduate of William Allen High School in 1974, a graduate of Bloomsburg University in 1978 and earned his MBA from St. Joseph's University in 1987.

Brian was an Executive Vice-President for National Penn Bank, Boyertown, where he had worked since 1987.

He was a member of St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, where he served as a cantor.

Brian was a Cub Scout Leader for Pack #543 at Robeson Lutheran Church.

He coached soccer and baseball for the Governor Mifflin Youth Leagues.

Brian was also a volunteer for Junior Achievement and active in the Habitat for Humanity both of Reading.

He is also survived by two sons, Brian T., Jr. and Joseph J., both at home. There is also one brother, Kevin husband of Corinne Appleton, Reston VA.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Susan M. DePaul Memorial Fund LaSalle Academy 440 Holland Street Shillington, PA 19607, in recognition of the outstanding spiritual and academic education provided by their caring and dedicated teachers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Benedict's Church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum. Friends may call Thursday from 8 to 9:30 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading.
