Brenda L. Miley

Brenda L. Miley, 62, passed away on June 28, 2022 at her Exeter residence. She was the wife of Robert F. Miley. They married on April 22, 1989.

Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Shirley (Fick) Snyder. Brenda graduated from Oley Valley High School in 1977. She was employed as a receptionist at Reading Pediatrics for 30 years, where she was known by many as "Miss Brenda." Passionate about her work at Reading Pediatrics, Miss Brenda was loved and admired for being "sassy." She loved all aspects of her work: the doctors, nurses, staff, the families, and of course- the kids.

Brenda was a wonderful cook and loved to provide, care for, and feed others, especially her neighbors and coworkers. She loved flowers and created beautiful flower gardens in her yard and around her home in Exeter. Brenda had a love and devotion for rescuing animals, as well as raising money in support of animal shelters. Many local rescues and shelters have benefited from Brenda's kind nature and generosity over the years. At home Brenda leaves behind her own rescues: Murphy, Skye Blue, and her stray, Stella Blue.

Survivors include her husband, Robert, and his brothers, Michael and Patrick, along with their wives, Nereida and Kelly, nieces and nephews, and Brenda's brother, Darrell of Fleetwood, and his wife Jane.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading with interment at Spies-Zion Cemetery, Reading to follow. The visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
