Brenda C. Hewitt

Brenda C. (Kline) Hewitt, 75, of Shillington, passed away, Friday, December 2, 2016 in Reading Hospital.

She was the beloved wife of Lee J. Hewitt, to whom she had been married to for 55 years.

Born in Boyertown, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth, Sr. and Martha (Boehmer) Kline.

Brenda was a 1958 graduate of Reading High School.

She worked in domestic relations and juvenile probation at the Berks County Court House for over 30 years.

Brenda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a true friend to all she knew, and is now an angel watching over us all.

She loved music and dancing. During high school, Brenda was a majorette in the Boyertown High School Band. She was an avid dog lover and cherished her deceased dog Ben. Brenda is survived and missed by her dog Will.

In the winters, Brenda loved visiting Arizona.

In addition to her husband, Brenda is survived by her son: Kurt L. Hewitt, companion of Carol Rader, Shillington; three siblings: Kenneth, Jr., husband of Judy Kline, Philadelphia; Patricia, widow of Steven Klisiewicz, Birdsboro; and Faye, wife of David Stavarski, Gibralter. Two grandchildren: Tyler J. Hewitt and Sara A. Hewitt; many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her.

A memorial service will be held Friday, December 9, 2016 at 2 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Friends may call from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m prior to the service in the funeral home.
