Brenda M Burkey

Brenda M. (Yelles) Burkey, 60, of Hamburg, passed away in her home on Saturday, May 15th, 2021 surrounded by family. She was the loving wife of the late David W. Burkey..

Born in Reading on October 13, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Augustus and Thelma (Yoder) Yelles. Brenda was a nurse, paraeducator for the Hamburg School District for 22 years. She received her LPN license from Reading/Muhlenberg Technical School in 1978. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Hamburg.

Brenda is survived by two children, Courtney M. (Burkey) Link and her husband Thomas R., Jr of Hamburg and Kyle D. Burkey of Hamburg and a brother, Bruce A. Yelles and his wife, Sharon C. of Hamburg.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, May 22nd, 2021, at 9 A.M., at the First Reformed United Church of Christ, 76 South 3rd Street, Hamburg, PA 19526. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the First UCC , 76 S. 3rd St., Hamburg, PA 19526 or the Four Diamonds, 1249 Cocoa Ave., #115, Hershey, PA 17033.
