Bonita F. Jones

Bonita F. Jones, 59, of Leesport, passed away August 4, 2021 in the Reading Hospital.

Born in Perry, GA, she was the beloved daughter of Buford and Martha (Kitts) Simmons.

Bonita was employed by Blessed Hands Home Health Care, as an Assistant Administrator.

She enjoyed cooking and doing numerous crafts like knitting and crocheting.

Bonita was a member of Reading Deliverance Evangelistic Center, under former Pastor Buford Simmons and Dr. Marie Simmons for many years, as an evangelist. Bonita also graduated from Elsahddi Learning Center, in 2000, under the tutelage of Apostille Dr. Carolyn Burdine, as an ordained License Elder in the Ministry of Total Family Christian Center.

She is survived by her sons, Reese Simmons, Port Clinton, and Patrick Santiago. She is also survived by her godson, Zephaniah Rodriguez, goddaughter, Essence Green; six siblings, Robin Simmons, Reading; Regina Cabrera, Mechanicsburg; Michele Simmons, Reading; David Simmons, Atlanta; Buford Simmons., Reading; Michelle Scott, Leesport; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. in Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, 5153 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA 19560. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
