Blanche M. Martin

Blanche Martha (Kornish) Martin, 93, of Exeter Township, died September 28th in the St. Joseph's Hospital.

She was predeceased by her first husband James W. Mecca, who died June 12, 1972. She was also predeceased by her second husband, W. Robinson Martin, who died July 4, 1985.

Born in Vandling, Lackawanna County, she was a daughter of the late Victor and Eva (Narewski) Kornish.

She was a graduate of Sacred Heart School, South Scranton.

Martin was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Mount Penn.

She was employed for over 20 years in sales and social work at Stanley Home Products, Scranton and Telespond, Scranton until her retirement.

Martin in survived by a sister, Evelyn (Kornish) Seward of Reading.

Other survivors include two nieces, Mary L. (Seward) Thorne of Exeter Township and Wilma Lugg of Fredonia, Pa.

She is also survived by several grand nieces and nephews.

Prayer services will be Friday at 1:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Viewing Friday noon until time of service. Burial will be private in Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary Cemetery, Scranton, Lackawanna County. Contributions may be made to St. Catherine of Siena R.C.
