Blanche G. Kinkaid

Blanche G. Kinkaid, 92, of Mohnton, died September 4, 2012, in Phoebe Berks, Wernersville.

She was the widow of Andrew David Kinkaid.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Marie M. (Weis) Sausen.

She attended West Reading High School.

Blanche worked in sales for Boscov's Department Store, Reading for over 20 years, retiring in 1985. She continued to work part-time for Berks Visiting Nurses as a personal aide to the elderly.

She was a former member of St. James Church, West Reading.

Blanche loved playing cards, embroidery and word searches. She volunteered at ManorCare, West Reading.

She is survived by her five children: David W., husband of Patricia Kinkaid, Mohnton; Sandra G., wife of Wayne Barker, Wyomissing Robert J., husband of Rose Kinkaid, Gainsville, VA; Linda L., wife of Barry Schlouch, Laureldale; and Alan D., husband of Denise Kinkaid, Wescosville. Fifteen grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson also survive her.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading with a viewing from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
