Blanche E. "Banny" (Konsko) Zonca, 84, passed away Tuesday, April 29,2025, in her Muhlenberg Township residence.
Her husband, Anthony J. "Tony" Zonca died on April 15, 2024.
Born in Lansford, PA, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Violet (Karnish) Konsko.
Banny graduated from Lansford High School and subsequently held various positions in the clerical department at several organizations, including Ridge Center Appliance, American Motors in Philadelphia, Weis Markets, Joseph's Men's Store, and the Reading Phillies.
She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Roman Catholic Church, Reading.
She is survived by two children, Anthony R. "Tony", husband of Lori Zonca, Kutztown, and Chris, husband of Joyce Zonca, Piedmont, CA; her sister, Loretta, wife of Edward Eckman, West Virginia; and her granddaughter, Catheryn.
Banny was predeceased by her sister, Rosemarie O'Keefe.
Banny became involved in youth sports five decades ago as a team mother to various Rising Sun Athletic Association teams where her sons competed. As the years passed, she became an avid baseball fan as she watched as many Philadelphia Phillies games as she could. She was also a big Duke University men's basketball fan and an active member of the Reading High Squires Club, the booster arm of Reading High School boys basketball team.
But her true love was her family. Banny loved being a wife, a mother, a mother-in-law and a grandmother and would visit California every chance she could for the last 15 years in order to visit her family.
Banny passed on what would have been her and Tony's 64th Wedding Anniversary. They are now united again for all eternity.
