Blanche M. Ahrens

Blanche Marie (Groh) Ahrens, 82, died June 16th at 6:24 p.m. of natural causes in her sons residence on Allentown Pike, Maidencreek Township.

She was the widow of Harold Arthur Ahrens who died February 9, 1980.

Born in Maidencreek Township, she was a daughter of the late Herman S. and Florence E. (Rothermel) Groh.

She was a member of Maidencreek Church, Blandon, where she was a member of the choir and Women's Club.

Ahrens was a charter member of the Blandon Lioness Club.

She was a member of the Blandon Senior Citizens Club.

Ahrens was in the ladies auxiliary for both the Blandon and Virginville Fire Companies.

She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Reading Chapter #251, OES.

Ahrens is survived by two sons; Richard K. with whom she last resided and Raymond A. of Rockland Township.

Other survivors include four granddaughters and two great grandchildren.

Services will be Friday 1:00 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Rev. Darryl E. Dech officiating. Viewings Thursday evening 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. and Friday 12:30 pm until time of service in the funeral home. Burial in Maidencreek Cemetery, Blandon. Contributions may be made to Maidencreek Church, 261 Main Street, Blandon, Pa 19510.
