Beverly Ann Green

Beverly Ann (Shunk) Green, 88, of Wyomissing, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 13, 2017, in the Reading Hospital where she was a patient one day.

Her husband, Richard H. Green died on May 21, 2012. Beverly's first husband, Richard A. Strausser died on October 2, 1959.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Ethel (Shunk) Martin.

She was a graduate of Reading High School in 1946 and Reading Bible Institute.

Beverly was last employed by Coventry Corners, Berkshire Mall, Reading.

She attended Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, Sinking Spring.

Beverly was also a member of the West Reading Drum and Bugle Corps and Buccaneer Drum and Bugle Corps.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, and loved celebrating family birthdays. She was a great PA Dutch cook and held many picnics and get togethers.

Beverly is survived by six children: Michael, husband of Debbie Strausser, Chandler, AZ; Mark, husband of Stephanie Green, Columbia, SC; John Green, Wyomissing; Sharon, widow of Robert Kleinert, Blandon; Doreen Strausser, Wyomissing; and Richelle, wife of Phillip Rittersbach, Sinking Spring. Eighteen grandchildren: Brandon; Brittany; Jeremey; Kyle; David; Steven; Cody; Jessica; Samantha; Tracy; Denise; Michael; Stephanie; Michael; Shannon; Kevin; Karen; and Marcia; and fifteen great-grandchildren also survive her.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Janis L. Nelson on September 14, 2011.

Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Schaefferstown Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
