Beverly L. Fetterhoff, 81, formerly of Schuylkill Haven, Allentown, York Springs, Mechanicsburg, Jim Thorpe and Reading passed away peacefully in her sleep the evening of Tuesday, August 3, 2021, in the care of South Mountain Restoration Center. She was the loving widow of Rev. Carl E. Fetterhoff, who passed away on March 9, 1992.
Born in Harrisburg in 1939 to the late Leonard LeRoy and Kathryn Ardella (Shelly) Lash, Beverly was raised in Ohio and graduated from Ridgeville High School in 1957. As a student she played basketball. After high school, she attended the Harrisburg Polyclinic School of Nursing, graduating in 1960.
Bev worked in labor and delivery at the Polyclinic Hospital before relocating to Allentown, where she worked from October 1967 through April 1973 at the Allentown General Hospital in the OBGYN Department, specializing in caring for complicated deliveries. From October 1978 through June 1980, Bev worked in the skilled nursing wing of the Evangelical Congregational Church Retirement Village in Myerstown. She later rejoined the workforce, working as a secretary for a psychologist, following the loss of her husband, Carl. Mrs. Fetterhoff also volunteered with the Red Cross Blood Mobile. She loved the Lord and her family.
Bev is survived by her daughter, Heather Ann (Fetterhoff), wife of Dale A. Huey, of West Lawn; her granddaughter, Cheyanne N. Huey, a student at Penn State Berks; her brother Kenneth Lash of Hanover; her brother Robert, husband of Joan Lash, of York Springs; and her sister, Pearl (Lash), wife of Jeff Thorpe, of Long View, TX.
In addition to her husband, Bev was predeceased by her brother, Lenny Lash, who is survived by his widow, Joyce.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Beverly's name may be offered to the Evangelical Theological Seminary Student Scholarship, 121 S. College St., Myerstown, PA 17067.
Funeral Services for Beverly will be held at Faith E.C. Church, 400 N Temple Blvd, Temple, PA, on Monday, August 9, 2021, at 11:00 AM, with committal services to follow at Reedsville E.C. Church Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven, at 2:00 PM. Friends are welcome to visit from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM .
