Beverly A. Boran

Beverly A. Boran, 60 of Windsor Township died October 19th in her residence. She was the wife of Jack R. Boran. Bev was born in W. Reading and was the daughter of the late Arlan N. and Dorothy M. (Himmelberger) Greenawalt. She was a 1973 graduate of Hamburg Area High School and a 1975 graduate of Allentown School of Business. Bev worked for Met-Ed for 35 years, last working in economic development. She retired in 2012. Bev and her husband, Jack have owned and operated the Port Clinton Hotel for the past 11 years. Beverly was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Hamburg. She was a past member of the Hamburg Area Sports Boosters. Bev was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She spent her free time helping others and caring for her family. She put everyone's needs before hers and will be forever loved and missed by everyone whose life she touched. In addition to her husband, two daughters, Jennifer M. wife of Andrew Hottenstein, Hummelstown, Anne M. Boran, Harrisburg and a granddaughter, Madison A. Hottenstein, survive Bev. A brother, Terry A. Greenawalt died on November 29, 1999, predeceased her. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 24th at 11:00 AM from St. Mary R.C. Church, 94 Walnut Road, Hamburg, PA. 19526. A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:30 PM at the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th St. Hamburg, PA. and again on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the church.
