Betty graduated from Phoenixville Area High School and upon his return from WWII, she married her late husband, Joseph B. Weber, Jr. She spent most of her life living and working in her hometown of Phoenixville. Betty was a committed bookkeeper for the Kulp and Gordon Motor Freight and later finished her career at the Phoenixville Hospital, before retiring at the age of 80. She loved her work, but also loved the challenge of learning. Betty obtained her associate degree in accounting from Ursinus College at the age of 72, which she was very proud of. In retirement, she moved to Phoebe Berks in Wernersville, PA, where she was an active resident and made many new lifelong friends. She truly loved and felt blessed by her stay at Phoebe.
Betty was devoted to her husband and family, and most importantly, to the Lord. She was quite the bedrock of her family, anchored in her unwavering and inspiring Christian faith. Betty also cherished and appreciated her friends and their enduring companionship. All who knew Betty were blessed by her patient and kind fellowship.
In addition to leading a life of devotion, Betty loved playing tennis, and swimming. She was also an avid reader. Being a devout Christian, her favorite book was The Bible. Betty also loved to read history and biographies about people of historical importance. Betty played piano, and for many years was the organist for the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Phoenixville, PA. In retirement, she continued playing at services for Phoebe Ministries.
Betty lived a full life with love, patience, kindness and grace. Predeceased by her parents, her brother, Daniel Kulp, Jr; and her sister, Grace Traney. Betty's memory will be continued by her son, Joseph B. Weber, III; her grandsons, Kevin J. Weber, of West Chester, and Joseph B. Weber, IV, of Longview, TX; her great-grandchildren, Lanie Weber, and Joseph B. Weber V.; as well as those who were blessed to know her.
