Betty Lou (Fritch) Wagner, 78, of Blandon, passed away on Sunday morning in Reading Hospital. Born on May 10, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Trexler) Bowers and Glenn Fritch. She was a graduate of Perry High School and the Valedictorian of her class. She also completed 2 years at the former Reading Business Institute. Betty worked as a medical secretary at the Hamburg Family Practice for 23 years, retiring in 2002. She was a member of St. Luke's Church, Shoemakersville and also the Women's Auxiliary Shoemakersville Fire Company. Betty enjoyed tending her summertime flower beds, going to the beach, but her favorite time of the year was the Christmas season. She is survived by husband, Terry A., to whom she was married for 57 years; son, John, husband of JoAnn, of Bel Air, MD; daughter, Amy, wife of Jerald Ebling, of Kutztown; 4 grandchildren, whom she loved very dearly: Michael and Elizabeth Wagner and Emily and Nathan Ebling; 2 sisters: Carolyn, wife of Thomas Adam, of Shoemakersville; and Suzanne, wife of Dave Stambaugh, of Strausstown; 2 brothers: Terry, husband of Nadine Bowers, of Shoemakersville; and Timothy, husband of Rita Bowers, of Delaware; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Burkey and Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th St., Hamburg, with Rev. Walter Breiner officiating. A viewing will be held on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until time of service in funeral home. Interment will follow in St., John's Cemetery, Hamburg.
