Betty J. Seaman

Betty J. Seaman, 80 of Perry Township died on May 22nd in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Ray P. Seaman.

Betty was born in Tilden Township and was the daughter of the late William R. and Helen L. (Berger) Kauffman. She was a 1950 graduate of Hamburg High School and a lifelong member of St. Michael's Church, Tilden Township.

Betty was a former member of St. Michael's Choir, and was also a Sunday school teacher. She also served on St. Michael's Cemetery Board for many years.

Betty worked at Perry Elementary School for 7 years and as bank teller for many years for the former American Bank & Trust in Shoemakersville. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed camping and R V ing. In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by 2 daughters; Luann R. Seaman and Lorie B. Seaman, Somerset, NJ., 1 brother; William S. Kauffman, Wernersville. She was predeceased by 1 brother, Donald C. Kauffman and 2 sisters; Thelma Scharadin and Mary Ernst. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. 40 S. 4th St., Hamburg, PA. A viewing will be held from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery.
