Betty J. Schappell

Betty J. Schappell of Windsor Township entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on August 26th in her residence. She was the wife of Gerald W. Schappell. Betty was born in West Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late Sisto and Angeline (Macchiarelli) Ascione. She was a graduate of Paterson High School and worked as a legal secretary for many years. Betty was a member of The Bridge Church, Windsor Township. In addition to her husband, she is survived by 1 daughter, Laurie wife of Victor Capobianco, Cedar Grove., NJ, 2 step daughters, Melissa Schappell, Andreas, PA and Shelly wife of Vincent Bomba, Northeast, MD., 5 grandchildren and 1 brother, Ralph Ascione, Ashville, NC. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 30th at 11:00 AM from The Bridge Church, 3561 Old 22, Hamburg, PA. 19526. A viewing will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Paul's (Smoke Church) Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Betty's name may be made to the church at the above address.
