Betty Jane Ross

Betty Jane (Bamberger) Ross, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, 86, of Wyomissing, died April 8, 2011, in Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

Her husband, Francis R. Ross, Sr., died June 10, 1986.

She was the daughter of the late Paul and Beulah (Boughter) Bamberger.

Betty was employed for 31 years as a cashier for the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, retiring in 1985.

She was a U.S. Women's Army Corp veteran serving during WWII.

Betty was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Wyomissing.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas R., Sr., husband of Beth Ross, Sinking Spring and Francis R. Ross, Jr., Wyomissing; two grandsons, Bryan C., husband of Jessica Ross and Thomas R. Ross, Jr. and one great-grandson, Gabriel T. Ross.

Other survivors include two cousins: Joanie, wife of Warren Linderman and Edith Fick.

Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p. m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery.
