Betty Marks

Betty (Shollenberger) Marks, 83, formerly of Wyomissing died June 25, 2011 in Green Hills Manor, Cumru Township, where she had resided since January 25, 2011.

She was the wife of Dr. Richard C. Marks who died December 31, 2008.

Born August 2, 1927 in Stoney Creek Mills, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Effie (Moll) Shollenberger.

Betty was a 1945 graduate of Mt. Penn High School.

She was employed as an underwriter with CNA Insurance, Reading, for 37 years.

Surviving is Betty's late husband's family, including two sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Marks of Mohnton and Jacquelyn R., wife of Robert Masley of Spring Township; a brother-in-law, John W. Marks of Spring Township; a niece, Michele Masley; four nephews, Donald E. Marks, Todd R. Grinnage, Richard and Robert Masley and several great nieces and great nephews.

The family would like to thank Green Hills Manor and Caring Hospice for their care and compassion for Betty.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
