Betty M. Berkey

Betty Marie (Klopp) Berkey, 86, of Reading, died February 6, 2012 in Columbia Cottage, Spring Township.

She was the wife of William Ray Berkey, whom she married July 26, 1975.

Born in Shillington, PA on January 9, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Rachel (Bieker) Klopp.

She was a 1944 graduate of Reading High School.

Betty was employed 12 years with Klopp Novelty.

She loved to cook.

Betty is also survived by two children: Paul J., husband of Susan Moyer of Mt. Penn and Susan B. (Berkey), wife of James Washington of Wyomissing.

Other survivors include a brother, Frank Klopp of Lincoln Park and several nieces and nephews.

There are also five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Services will be private. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
