Betty S. Himmelreich

Betty S. Himmelreich, 87 of Shoemakersville died in St. Joseph's Hospital & Medical Center on April 9th, 2015. She was the widow of George D. Himmelreich who died June 21, 1980. She was born November 12, 1927 in Kenhorst and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Hester (Spatz) Haring. Betty was a 1945 graduate of Shillington High School and a member of St. Luke's Church, Shoemakersville. She was employed by Wilson Products in the accounting department for 20 years and last worked as a postal carrier and window clerk for the Shoemakersville Post Office for 22 years retiring in 1990. Betty was a loving and caring mother and was a member of the Shoemakersville Fire Company and the American Postal Workers. She is survived by one son, George M. Himmelreich, Shoemakersville and was predeceased by a sister Joan Arnold. The family would like to thank Age In Place Home Care. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 15 at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th St., Hamburg, PA. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Luke's Cemetery, Shoemakersville.
