Betty Elaine Hartberger

Betty Elaine Hartberger, 90, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away April 23, 2013 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Her husband, Leo J. Hartberger, died December 24, 1984.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Wilson D. and Lillian (Mervine) Fidler.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

Betty loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by her two children: Kevin Leo, husband of Sandra (Klopp) Hartberger, Temple and Judith Ann, wife of Terry M. Heffner, Sr., Temple and a daughter-in-law, Darlene Hartberger, Fleetwood. Also surviving is her nephew, F. Barry Yoder, Mt. Penn. Six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren also survive her.

Betty was predeceased by her son, W. David Hartberger and her sister, Florence Yoder.

She will be greatly missed by all.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Online condolences may be recorded at www.christfuneralhome.com.
