Betty G. Ritter

Betty G. (Kimmel) Ritter, 86, of Sinking Spring, passed away, December 19, 2016 in Reading Hospital.

She was married to Richard C. Ritter, whom died May 5, 1999.

Born in Hamburg, she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Mamie (Raudenbush) Kimmel.

Betty was a graduate of Wernersville High School.

She was a member of St. John's Reformed Church, Sinking Spring.

Betty was very active with her Senior group. She loved exercising, bowling and golf. But, most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was last employed by the Reading Hospital for several years, working in the Centram Department.

Betty is survived by a son: Steven R., husband of Teresa K. Ritter, League City, TX; a daughter: Beth E. Lyons - Morrow, wife of Nicholas P. Morrow, Sinking Spring, and five siblings: Marian Lutz, Sinking Spring; Marvin Kimmel, Sinking Spring; Joan Lund, Tucson, AZ; Dawn Heck, Sinking Spring; and Robert Kimmel, Wernersville. Four grandchildren: Matthew Lyons, Lauren Morrow, Devin Ritter, and Brett Ritter, and one great grandchild, Blake Ritter also survive her.

She was predeceased by two sisters: Leona Kowal and Ruth Lutz.

A memorial service will be held Friday, December 23, 2016, at 2 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to, St. John's Reformed Church, 4001 Penn Ave, Reading, PA 19608.
