Betty Lou Eckert

Betty Lou Eckert, 82, of Blandon, died March 10, 2009 in St. Joseph Medical Center.

Born February 26, 1927 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Irvin E. and Alice (Schwartz) Gring.

She was a graduate of Reading High School and held a certificate as a Practical Nurse.

Betty loved fishing and boating.

She was employed by Hamburg State and School Hospital and afterwards by Sam's Club until her retirement in 1999.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Pam A., wife of Russ E. Reifsnyder, her brother, Charles Gring, and also by her two grandchildren, Tracy L. and Jesse Reifsnyder, all of Reading.

She was predeceased by her two sisters, Fern and Barbara; and her brother, Irvin Jr.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading. Burial will be in Heidelberg Cemetery, Heidelberg Township. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services in the funeral home. For online condolences, visit www.kuhnfuneralhome.com
