Betty May Dipietro

Betty Mae (Kline) DiPietro, 85, of Muhlenberg Township, died June 3, 2009 at 12:30 pm in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was married July 6, 1943 to the late Anthony "Tony" Thomas DiPietro, who died August 18, 1972.

Born in Reading, PA on August 11, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Alvin Dewey Bare and Florence (Krammer) Bare.

She was a 1941 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

Betty was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.

She was employed as a saleswomen and bookkeeper with Saks Dress Shop, Reading for 15 years and later employed 25 years with Interstate Container, Reading.

Betty is survived by two children: Theodore Terry DiPietro Sr, husband of Linda L. (Hoelscher) DiPietro of New Ringgold, Schuylkill County and JoAnne L. (DiPietro), wife of Terry Goheen of Little River, South Carolina.

Other survivors include a brother, Robert, husband of Florence (Kazmiercak) Bare of Exeter Township and a brother-in-law, Charles DiPietro of Cumru Township.

There are also five grandchildren: Shane, Angela, Theodore, Matthew and Victoria and four great grandchildren: Dale, Tony, Dominic and Nico.

She was predeceased by two siblings: Ralph Bare and Irene (Bare) White.

Prayer Services will be held Saturday at 11:30 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. A viewing will be held from 10:00 am until time of service. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
