Betty Bower

Betty (Odages) Bower 91, formerly of Wyomissing, passed away on Friday January 29, 2021, in the care of Berks Heim. She was the wife of David F. Bower Jr. for 59 years until her passing. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late John and Dimitrios "Francis" Odatzis. Growing up on North 4th St. in Reading, she graduated from Reading High School in 1947.

Betty worked at the Berkshire Knitting Mills until its closing and went on to work at Camp Hosiery before retiring in 1993. She was a lifetime member of St. Mathews Greek Orthodox church. She was also involved with the Philoptohos (ladies aux) Society, often working the Greek food bazars.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Jonathon Bower, husband to Kathleen A. Bower, and two grandsons, Nicholas James and Shane David of Maidencreek Township. She is also survived by her cousin, Theanna Sheetz, of Wyomissing. She was predeceased by her sister, Sophia Milones.

Services for Betty will be private and she will be buried at Charles Evan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Mathews Greek Orthodox Church, 8477 Allentown Pike, Blandon PA 19510. Edward J.
